Online Logo Maker

I'm not very good in making graphics and I mostly rely on free resources/tools found online.  One of my favorites is a free online logo maker website called >> Cooltext.com

It's free, no registration needed and very easy to use.  You can also find thousands of fonts and all are available to download for free.  Here are just a few examples of what you can do at Cooltext.com:

You can also use the site to create website buttons..

Really worth checking.

These online tools can come in handy, especially as opposed to buying a desktop app, which you may only need to use once in a blue moon.

One other option I wanted to mention would be to use Google Web Fonts and their pre-built styles. I just discovered this option recently, buried away in their documentation. Scroll down the page in the link below to see some examples of the visual styles you can achieve:

Even better, because you are using actual HTML text, it makes your "logo" even more search engine friendly.

Now if only Google would start adding some icon fonts to their Google Web Font collection, this would be even better.

This is a nice tool for quick title designs. I think that tools like this are great for minor logo or title designs. I would use it for article titles or other secondary things that I may want to be more than just a plain font. I wouldn't use it for a brand logo or anything more permanent because of the lack of customization features. It's a great tool to have in the toolbelt, though.

Thanks for sharing!

As a designer even I can admit that some of those designs are pretty okay looking for the price, which is free, but what a real designer can get you would be an Adobe Illustrator file that can be a great source for many iterations to come of a single design. Any kind of line art can be used in multiple ways but something that's just a one off like above may not be that helpful in the long run.   I'll be honest and say I actually had someone make my logo for me and I paid them but if I were doing a free site I would definitely look into that free logo generator above. I'd probably also download the images I made on them and take them into Photoshop to mess with them more.

These are ok for informal or hobby websites. But they don't look professional and are not a replacement to a well designed logo on Illustrator. If you aren't good with graphics and you are working on a site for a client don't use these. These are more for fun.

The problem with free online logo makers is that you might end up getting a logo that has been used by so many companies like 90% of the time so your creation will not look original. That speaks volumes to your future potential clients. Just go to fiverr and pay five dollars for a nice logo.

It's great and all because it's free. If I may suggest you could try buying Broderbunds Printmaster software it's really cheap and it's fun to use.  You could even get a pirated copy it also works great. The new version has lots of surprises in online designs.

I think it's good to have like that but I would suggest  that you can use those logo generators as you references as I believe that it is far better if your create your own logo with your own hands but the site above can be your references and you may want to look for another references again such as image and edit it on illustrator or photoshop just to make it more professional way.

I am glad to know  the information. This is a great help to  make the work easy. Logo, is something difficult to make especially with the design. It needs  creativity and the concept should connect to the audience or client. With your given information, it is sure to be a convenient way to work. Plus, I can choose different fonts and designs. Thank you for sharing. It means a lot.

Well i think that the free sites can be good if you are trying to learn the technique of making your own logos. However , when you have to work for a client, i guess it is better to go for some paid service and create your own design. I agree that the logo templates that you get at the free sites lack originality. I think Canva is definitely a site which does offer a wide variety of options and it is also a free service. You can upgrade to a paid service on Canva anytime and that will give you a greater flexibility and options for your designs

Well, I guess you have a point here. As for me, I am a beginner and looking for sites like this. It is easier to practice on this sites than pay for photoshop. If one day this becomes my profession, then, I will go for a software like Adobe.

I’ve used the free program Canva quite a bit lately and there’s lots you can do on there with logos and other forms of graphic design too. There’s a paid version as well but IMO the free version has everything you really need, especially if you’re a relative beginner. Worth checking out!
