You're hobbies?

My hobbies are mostly of japanese origin. I like to watch anime and read manga, but I also have a lot of interest in their culture and language in general, which is why I've started to learn japanese a while ago. My biggest hobby is probably my Touhou collection. Touhou is a japanese game series, and I've been a fan for several years now. I collect pretty much everything that has something to do with Touhou, especially figures and plushies, but also clothes, posters, cd's etc. It's quite an expensive hobby, with prices for some of the rarer figures and plushies being able to reach more than 300$.

Coding of course :)

Coding used to be one my hobbies as well, but when I started working as a programmer I decided to not spend too much of my free time on it. 8 hours a day is probably enough.

Ah I start at 8am until 5pm.  Hang with kid/wife until 9-9:30 then back to it until ~12am.

I have a deep interest in philosophy, rational thinking, science, and topics of that nature. I've spent many a day in deep thought on such issues. To me it is more than a hobby though. More of a way of a life.

I also have an interest in programming obviously.

Sounds fascinating. Are/were you a philosophy major in college or something similar?

The things I write about is generally my view on life and how I strive to be happy, it's like a guide for people and I might share it someday.

Your interests are unique. :)

Oh, I see, so we have something in common because I enjoy watching anime and reading manga.

What are your favourites? Do you like Code Geass, School Days or Berserk? Because those are my favourites. :P

Nah I haven't studied it in college. If I did it would turn into a responsibility and it would loose its charm. I'd rather it be driven by my own interest and not learned professionally.

Anyone can do philosophy if their willing to spend lots of time in deep thought. There's a lot to think about and many different topics to consider. The key is to always think things through to the end. Many people stop as soon as their philosophy/belief encounters problems. They become uncomfortable and just stop there.

I love both coding and interfacing them with devices. I started VB programming as hobby at work:afro:. I used to make small programs for process automation using VBA, ADO, SQL during my free time. After some success i started interfacing machines using digital controls thru VB. After these projects, i never get enough of coding and automation. Lately i'm into automation and machine interfacing thru WEB environment, i'm still working on it though.

I do have a lot of hobbies depending on what my mood is. Why I feel like being athletic and sporty, I usually play Basketball and Frisbee with my friends. When I feel tired, I love sitting on the couch and just watched random movies from my laptop. But one of my hobbies that varies any moods is writing. I really love to write that's why I'm here on this forum, trying to have an exchanges of thoughts with other users/members and maybe make new friends.

Sports off course. They keep you healthy and in a good physical form. Love to play chess too. It sharps my brain. And I really enjoy spending time in the nature. So cycling and walking are also my hobbies. There is nothing like breathing a fresh air.
