Google Dart

Dart is a brand new programming language developed by Google.

Dart is designed to be a familiar, easy to use language that offers better performance, stronger security, and easier scaling than Java or Javascript.

So what do you guys think will this get much traction?

If Google starts to use it on their sites and it shows promise, they will likely release some new API only for Dart, so people will start using it.

Basically, if it works, yes, it will probably gain traction.

I doubt it. Javascript is huge. It's the most used programming language in the world. I don't see a reason for people to move off javascript and learn Dart. People aren't flocking to proprietary languages when open, standard based alternatives are out there.
