Administrators Nathan Posted February 19, 2012 Administrators Posted February 19, 2012 Google Dart Dart is a brand new programming language developed by Google.Dart is designed to be a familiar, easy to use language that offers better performance, stronger security, and easier scaling than Java or Javascript. So what do you guys think will this get much traction? Quote
W00t Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 If Google starts to use it on their sites and it shows promise, they will likely release some new API only for Dart, so people will start using it. Basically, if it works, yes, it will probably gain traction. Quote
NeilPearson Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 I doubt it. Javascript is huge. It's the most used programming language in the world. I don't see a reason for people to move off javascript and learn Dart. People aren't flocking to proprietary languages when open, standard based alternatives are out there. Quote
Pete T Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 well i don't believe this going next big thing really but will keep eye on it just incase become bit more. Quote
Talk Tech News Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 I have heard about dart and wonder if it will succeed if google put as much into it as everything else that they do. Quote
