jyy
Some say it is shady. In fact, some have even claimed companies are selling bots (fake traffic). Nonetheless. though, with research first, this traffic can sometimes work (depending on the niche).
Administrators Nathan Posted March 13, 2018 Administrators Share Posted March 13, 2018 It's a complete turnoff for me and I can't stand any of the methods. It does seem shady, why force this user experience on your users? If you're offering a product or service that actually provides value then the sale will come. These tactics to me are used to force or generate impression based income for something the user has no interest in.
blakfinn
Traffic is the rage of the moment as leads are sought after aggressively by both affiliate marketers and companies who spend a lot of money to get clients to their sites hoping they convert by buying their products. Some dishonest people instead of sending real people to sites send bots which act like humans in order to increase the traffic to the site but they end up dropping fake emails and contact details and definitely make no purchases. With daily advances in computing, there are programs which detect such bots and take appropriate actions.Honesty is always the best policy in business. jyy
A big attraction is the price, but as they say, you get what you pay for. However, though, honestly, I do think some companies use this stuff. I mean, they couldn't list major companies as users, if they didn't use them. I mean, that would be fraud and a potential lawsuit. WisTex
It's an outdated method of promotion that even the makers of web browsers are cracking down on. Google Chrome, for example, is coming out with an update that squashes this and other forms of undesirable advertising methods. This method is on the way out, and big companies like Google are trying to kill it.
