Video Editing what better software to use?

To all the Media Creators out there! Just want to know what kind of software or application are you using? I have been using Adobe Premier since 2008 and I just recently move to Sony Vegas last 2017. There are things I could not do really fast using Vegas that I can do in Premier much easier and vice versa. So maybe what you are using right now is much better in all aspects. What are your thoughts. Hoping you can help me with this one. Thanks very Much!

I'm with you @melvs in that I've been using Adobe Premiere pretty much since I started editing video (1998-ish?). The learning curve isn't bad and the ability to work with After Effects compositions makes it invaluable (in my opinion). Many of the "free" options remind me of Windows Movie Maker. Perhaps if I were a Mac guy I would try Final Cut Pro but I'm still not there yet :)

Based on performance and stability, Adobe Premiere is the best. From navigating your videos to editing to rendering, I personally suggest that you use this one. But before that, I sometimes use first Adobe After Effects in editing with effects of course. It has a lot of tutorials over the internet and youtube on how you can apply effects (e.g. 3D Animations, Intro, etc.) and I basically edit first using it. Then I will transfer the rendered videos from After Effects to Premiere for more polished editing. After Effects has a lot more hotkeys to use but the Premiere is basically spoon feeding you. So I'd go for the combination of these two softwares. Good times!

Based from experience Adobe Premier is the best. I actually edit a lot of videos and do a lot of experiments with different video editing softwares and stuff, but i keep on going back to Adobe Premier. Even if it's a little bit hard to learn, especially when you're a beginner in video editing, there's a lot of tutorials about it that is available on YouTube and that's what makes it the best out of the rest because with those tutorials you'll really know that a lot of professionals in the field of video editing do really use and trust the software. However, Premier is not complete without the after effects so I guess you should also consider purchasing and installing one for your video editing tasks.

I think Adobe Premiere is the best right now especially with 3d. it can be used alongside After Effects and also with a motion-tracking program such as Mocha. If you're looking for simpler software that does the job, with quality good enough say, for editing videos for Youtube, Sony Vegas Pro is fine. Not that I recommend doing this, but it's very easy to find a copy of a Vegas torrent. I haven't worked professionally on a Mac but I hear that Apple Final cut is really good as well. Apple iMovie is good enough for simple edits, but I wouldn't recommend its PC counterpart MovieMaker.

I have used Adobe Premier video editing software and I must confess that it's such a very good software for any thing you wish to achieve with your video editing tasks. But recently, I bumped into the video editing software called KineMaster - Pro Video Editor and I would tell you that it's very good when it comes to video editing and effects that can be used to tune up your video quality.

@hoppip93 Yeah I also think that it is great in doing things in 3D, I have also used Adobe After Effects before and it makes it more easier to edit after inserting it or importing it to Adobe Premier.

@Martinsx Maybe also look at this Video Editor you have bumped too, I am also sorry if I have not replied right away from all of your inputs on my question, I got in a household problem that I really need to fix. Though it is not yet fixed yet, I just need a couple of breather time that is why I went back to posting. Thanks to all!

There's this great program, it's called Adobe Spark and it's free, check it out, its very easy to use , it's good to make short animated videos, social media graphics and web stories.  It has a lot of templates and designs to choose from and it's very user friendly. And again it's free.

I've been working with video editing software since the early 2000's, and since I started getting serious about my video work in college, I've become a huge advocate of the Adobe Creative Cloud. I jumped around for a while between Newtek SpeedEdit, Magix Movie Editor, New Vegas and Final Cut Pro, and I've found that the Adobe Suite is just so much more powerful than anything that I've worked with before.

Premiere has a nice feature that allows you to directlink to other installed programs, like After Effects, Audition, Speedgrade and Photoshop among other options. The changes you make on your footage and audio in other programs is directly reflected in your Premiere timeline, which I find convenient and powerful.

That's just my two cents!

Some says Adobe After Effects is good but I haven't tried this software. What I usually use for now is the Sony Vegas. It is easier to navigate than other software such after effects. My co - worker from other department who were used to edit video in after effects, she taught me and gave me a demo on how she work on those things. I don't really understand her because there were a lot of tools and panels so it's difficult for me to use it as adobe premier do. You can search in youtube for tutorials.

You are welcome mate. I'm sure that by now you must have sorted out your personal issues and checked out the recommendation I suggested for you with respect to the video editing software. I hope it's worth it in some way because I did enjoyed making use of it in some of my video editing tasks.

Adobe Premiere Pro, it's the bes. I've been using it for a while now editing my videos about travelling, vacations and projects of my brother, I love using it, it has a variety of features you can do almost anything if not anything in that program and also many Sony vegas users and Final cut users are switching to Adobe Premiere now, especially after the update of Adobe Premiere there's more that you can do in it.

I don't have any knowledge about video editing software for PC/laptop. I do know that there's a good video editor app for mobile called FilmoraGo. It's free to download and it's so easy to use. KineMaster is another app you can download for mobile.

I agree with the others! Adobe Premiere Pro is one of the best video editing softwares available in the market. My friends have also been using Premiere Pro for ages, and they still vouch for its great functionality. In general, I have always trusted Adobe's applications, and I've already quite mastered its interface (I first started with Photoshop) that Premiere Pro feels easier to work with.

A simple to use video editor I've used is Camtasia Studio. It has a very user-friendly interface but I think it's powerful enough to make some mid-tier quality edits. You can add text, edit video sections, edit the audio tracks, insert images. I had a lot of fun when I used this software. I hope I can get in the mood for coming back to video editing soon. Well, the most I did was editing out some screen recordings and anime videos.
