DOTA 2 or LoL

Which MOBA(Multiplayer Online Battle Arena Battle) game do you prefer ?

Prolly Dota 2. From DotA 1, the evolution of Dota 2 is very unique and incredible and life changing! I personally haven't played LoL but just by watching some players how they play it, I don't really get it. From my perception, I think that game is just based from Dota also. I dont like the graphics and gameplay also. But in Dota, you practice everygame your critical thinking skills, your leadership, your perseverance to never give up, your decision making on a crucial game. It's not just a game, it gives life to many. Thank you IceFrog and Lord Gaben! No hate for LoL players. We are all just gaming. Good times!

LOL back when I played it, tried Dota 2 but didn't care for it much.  Guess it's just what you're used to.

I have tried both of these for a very short time, and I think LoL was the better game. I'm sure Dota 2 has a good player base, but I feel like LoL has a giant following and competitive scene.

I used to play both but I only play LoL right now. I was playing LoL for about a year already before I started playing DotA 2. In that year, I focused on improving my mechanics and knowing the abilities of each champion in the game. I also was introduced to the competitive scene and got accustomed to the popular esports players in LoL, not to mention that most of my friends played LoL rather than DotA 2. I think both games have their own strengths and weaknesses, but I ultimately stopped playing DotA 2 because I can't allot the same amount of time for both games, and by that time I was familiar already with all champs and mechanics in LoL, while I don't even know half the heroes in DotA 2.

I found it frustrating that it's so team dependent.  When you join a new game ready to play and 1 of your players is AFK or goes AFK or rage quits and you've just lost 45 minutes of your life when they won't surrender...

I think Dota is the better game, especially from a technical standpoint. The client absolutely slaughters league, and the game is better put together even with a significantly smaller dev team. They also do a much better job promoting their esports.

However, I enjoy playing league much more. The gameplay feels cleaner and I enjoy the character designs more so than dota. The art department is also fantastic.

I haven't tried LoL so I would have to say DoTA for me. From DoTA 1 to DoTA 2, I have followed the development of the game and its vast improvements, from the graphics and skins, to the gameplay, to the  improvement of their servers. I have already invested so much time on DoTA and besides I won't have time to play both on a regular basis.
