For PC, better use Adobe photoshop, but as for some people like me who feels more comfortable using phones, I use Pixellab and PS Touch. These are the main apps I used for my own YouTube channel. I'm not that expert but I hope you find my reply helpful though 😂

I don't know much about logo design but I have actually tried creating one using one free site that allowed to do that when I was still in the university because we were given a project on that. I actually got a good grade for the logo I was able to create using the site. Maybe you should look it up and see if it's going to be any helpful to you. The site is freelogodesign.org, I hope it's still functional.

Good luck,

Martins.

As what I have observed, some artist prefer to used illustrator than photoshop since it is good to create a vector images in illustrator and it can't get pixelated rather than the other one. But it is up to you if you prefer photoshop or illustrator but I would suggest that it's better to learn also illustrator as you will see how its creates easier way than that of photoshop.

I'm waiting for someone who can reply with a free logo design app. It is badly needed for some newbie freelancer to use an app with no charges.

Yes, it seems Illustrator it's the way to go when it comes to logos. I guess it has to do with the fact that the image might have to be used in several sizes and formats throughout the website and having an fixed size might not be the most optimal solution. Photoshop is good but only for images that you know won't be modifying too often.
