Yes, this has been going on a for a long time. They seem to be more transparent about it though because you can actually look at your history and choose to delete it now. But this is not something that is new. Facebook does the same.

I might be a minority, but none of this has every really bothered me. I understand some people really value their privacy, but as long as I don't see a physical body staring at me through my window, I am not too concerned. I do understand that this can leave us exposed to people with malicious intent and I can see why both sides act the way they do though.

So basically, google knows that you are cheating on your partner like.. when you go out at night time and you will see other women and you will be in airplane mode so that your girlfriend cannot call you.. Google will know. Hahaha that's cute.

I'm with you and I know the majority doesn't agree with it and I see their points as well, but I just don't care.

I'm not doing anything wrong and have nothing to hide.  I feel like the data they collect gives me a better user experience and it's all anonymized.

Thos is the first time I've seen that video and I really didn't think that I could be tracked in Airplane mode but it seems google has specifically designed Airplane mode to dupe us in thinking that we won't be tracked.  It's a clear case of nvasionn of privacy and the government should stop Google.

But if it's for the "Surveillance Capitalism", then I think we're safe.

I think it's included on the agreement when we signed with google. Also the technology behind tracking is all in the phones. GPS,WIFI, Bluetooth and sensors are all technologies that can triangulate locations. So even if turned off GPS there still ways to track you. Also these data is stored on the phone, just waiting to be processed once google got the information. I could say that it might be a threat to privacy, but for me these technology is essential.

Actually I agreed with you, the moment we made an account online regardless what is the site or page it was, We are exposing ourselves to the possibility that some of our privacy matters will be exposed. But I think we must aware of it we are living in the modern world where technology is fast approaching and fast growing. Aside from it since everyone of us I think has malicious act of deed, I think it will be fair but as long as there is no harm for you I guess and for both parties, there is no really matter, And since we are already aware on it we must now know to keep our privacy really in 100% secured within ourselves only.

I guess i'm  also part of that minority tho. I actually don't care as long as they'll not disclose that information to the general public. Although I'm not really that bothered tho because I'm not a kind of person who's popular or a criminal. I'm just a commoner and the number of people who actually  care about my personal information is too small I can count them with my fingers lol.

I guess I'm with the minority too. I really wouldn't bother for I believe that as along as I'm not doing anything wrong and got nothing to hide there's nothing to worry. Look at the bright side, if you went missing and your abductors got interest with your phone, google definitely will have the answer for your whereabouts.
