Kakashi2020
Keeping it short and uniquely easy to spell while avoiding slang like "U" for You and words that are hard to type like "XTREME" for Extreme. Doing this would give you an effective Domain Name.
WisTex
If you are going for branding, it should be relatively short and easy to type and be memorable. These are usually the hardest names to come up with.
Administrators Nathan Posted March 20, 2018 Administrators Share Posted March 20, 2018 This is one area I try not to impulse buy, but hard to do I usually force myself to think on it a day or two before deciding. I also use this tool to help with brainstorming: http://www.bustaname.com/ and http://www.bustaname.com/word_maker

Although you do have to be careful because if someone takes your domain, it is gone forever. So you have to balance unnecessary impulse buying with the risk of the domain being gone tomorrow. Ash
I think that it can take quite a bit to pick and get a good domain name. I think the biggest problem is that sometimes you come up with a name that you just love and think would be the perfect choice for your site but then you find out that it has already been taken up by someone else. So it is hard I guess. In terms of trying to pick a good domain name, I think the best thing to do is to come up with a word or a term that you want to use for your domain. Once you have done that, try and come up with other words that go with that term to try and find the perfect combination for your domain. That's why I do when I try to find the perfect domain name for my sites.
jyy
Some domain names are confusing while they're trying to be cool. For instance, the fictional name HotForumz.com would be confusing because many people will type in Hot Forums. It's like on the movie "That Thing You Do" where the band chooses the name "The Oneders" - but most people interpret it as "The O'Needers" , not as a witty spelling of "The Wonders". EfficientNinja
A domain name that is easy to read, easy to remember, sounds professional, and gives hint to the site niche would go a very long way. It is also good for SEO, right? Having the keyword of the niche to your domain name would have a great impact on how visible and trustworthy it would look to search engines and visitors. Kaushik
Make sure you choose the domain related to the nature of your website/blog. It will be easier for people to remember and also drive in more traffic if you keep the content and the domain name relevant. Also do not complicate it by using a mix of numbers and characters. It should be proper english words which can be easily memorized.
focusedwriter10
Your domain name should be short, easier and memorable. Also, it should entail your niche name.
kx8
Picking a domain name is one of the hardest decisions you're gonna have to make. At least for me it is. I tend to take my time when I choose a name not because I want it to be perfect but because I want to make sure that even after years I'm still going to like it. A domain name should be easy to remember true, but it should also be unique. That way you'll be sure that people won't be visiting the wrong site. I have to agree with not using shortcuts for words, that just looks awkward. And of course the domain name should at least have some relevance to what your site has to offer. brainstudioz
If you are branding then you can take domain name of your company. But if you are choosing domain name for any type of earning website or for services website then take the domain name of 3 words and which is easy to rank. Alania
Essentially it's the same like picking any other good name, whether it's a song or a book and even website's domain. I'd suggest to sit and think about it for a while, and if not, then try using some online name generator. It must be something catchy, but short. Jelineex
Choosing a name domain should be unique. This will give distinct identity among others. It is something that is associated to your site. People will get to remember it easily. Having a good name will attract visitors/guest to stay and get to know what's interesting on the site. It maybe short but captivating.
NikSuks
You should choose something unique, something that suits you and your style. Yet, you should be careful when picking a domain name. It needs to be unique but at the same time it needs to be short and simple. Why short and simple, you may wonder? Well, short and simple in order for people to remember it more easy. You should make it distinctive and powerful. Just think carefully about it and something will come up! Trust me!

There are places which can generate domain names based on the interests of the user, but if it comes to creativity then the person alone should be the one creating and making up the names, hehe. Sohani30
I would like to answer the question see the following steps to choose good domain: Keep it short and clear. This makes it easy to remember and reduce the chances of mistyping or misspelling your web address. Keep it related to the business or use keywords. Try finding a domain which represents your business. You may also choose those keywords which describe your services or have the same name as your product. Target Audience. You can choose the name according to your target audience. Domain Extension. Choose the extension according to your purpose of the website. If you are making it for a charity organization don't go for .com go for .org. HTH! Edited May 7, 2019 by Sohani30

Jack7878
A domain name is the address of your site, it is the online address or web address of your site. So, while choosing a domain name you should be very careful. It is an important decision for your website as well as it'll significantly impact on the online success of your website. Plenty of important aspects you must consider while selecting a domain name. Always try to take a simple and easy to remember domain name. Don't include the hyphens and numbers in the domain name. You can also refer to some already registered domain name to form your domain name. You can not use an already registered domain name for your website. John Carter
There are some good steps to choose a good domain and I'm writing some of them below. 1) If you have a small topic for your website then try to find a EMD (Exact Match Domain) like your "mainkeyword.com". If you want to cover multiple topics on your website then pick a brand domain name. 2) After you select a domain name and its available the before purchasing put that domain in Way Back Machin tool and check its a expired domain or not. Always try to pick a fresh domain 3) Always try to choose a good TLD like .com .org .net etc. If you have a country specific website then you can also choose domain extension with country like .uk .pk .za etc.
