Nowadays kids and teens alike are hooked on social media, there's a lot of risk and dangers in it, this includes addiction, bullying, sex and predators.

It's very hard for parents to track what kids are doing on social media and the platforms do have  lenient rules.

I really think that there should be a social media platform strictly for kids.  What is your take on this issue?

I have read something on facebook that her 4 year old daughter suffered severe eye pain due to too much exposure to the radiation of technology nowadays. I'm not saying that social media platforms are dangerous itself but come to think of it, exposing your child as early as age 4 might really be dangerous. Kids nowadays are so techy and they can learn anything. I also read something that, she is fluent in english because her dad doesn't let her use social media up until she graduates high school. She focused on reading books ever since that's why learning english becomes natural to her even she is a filipino. It's up to parenting for them to guide their own child. Times are changing and the upgrade on technology is inevitable.

I don't think kids should be given the authority to use social media or even social media specially made for kids. As a person who spent his childhood playing with other kids, it is best to make our children play with natural surroundings rather than communicate and interact with people whom they cannot see or hear. Social media for me is the reason why most kids of this generation are introverts and sensitive, it's the reason why most kids prefer to chat on messenger that to talk personally with their peers (and that's just weird and wrong). For me, the idea of having social media platform for kids will never solve the problems listed above by the author.

I agree with you on that kids of a very young age shouldn't be aloud to use social media because there's really a developing problem nowadays in which kids or even adults have underveloped communication skills and they lack confidence in speaking more so in verbal negotiations.

What you say is true and correct, kids who are not using social media are more sociable because they spent their time playing and conversing with other kids, which is the normal thing to do.  Also more and more kids nowadays are not reading books, they if they need to make their assignments, they just google the answer.
