Kakashi2020 Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 There's a new social media platform that pays users, I really don't know if it's true or not because I've just registered. Registration is free of charge and they claim that they are getting money to pay users from advertisers. This would be great news if Facebook would also pay their users. What is your take on this idea? Briz 1 Quote
WisTex Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 It depends on the types of people it attracts. If it only attracts people interested in making money online, you could wind up with a feed full of promotions. Might be worth it for the money you might make on referrals or promoting your products and services, but I doubt it would ever become a general purpose social media website. So, in the end, it may be a unique outlet for marketing and/or earning some income, but it's probably not going to have the same reach as Twitter and Facebook and such. Quote
Ash Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 It would be awesome if you could share the name of the brand new social media site or even a link so that we could have a look at it and properly share what we think of it. It's quite a unique and interesting way to have a social media site, although I just can't see how it would do well if you compare it to the established ones such as Facebook and Twitter. Unless you are targetting a specific audience or niche, general social media sites just don't tend to grow as quickly because people don't want to be a member of various social media sites that do the same thing. I doubt that you will get paid a large amount of money as well, and even that small amount will get a lot smaller as the site grows. Quote

I forgot to indicate the site, sorry. It's name is Goopag. And they're presently beta testing it. Some are earning a lot. But I'm having trouble with the site, sometimes it's in Portuguese and sometimes in English. www.goopag.com Briz 1 Quote
aecel Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 Is it available worldwide? And what is the payment processor? It would be great if FB and other social media platforms would also pay us but I doubt it for the reason that FB has billions of members they might not be available to pay all users. But if you're a media influencer and have lots of followers you might earn from advertisements if the company wants to endorse some products using your social media accounts. So far the celebrities are the one taking advantage of it. I do hope that one-day ordinary people like us will have the same opportunity to earn in social media. Quote
jaybee Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 Woah! Really? It's great that there's a social media site like this tho. I mean, if it's going to be successful then some of the millennial's today who spend almost 12 hours a day on Facebook can at least generate income. I mean, if they'll generate some income from this, then they can pay at least the electricity bill or the internet bill of their household then voila, their parents will no longer scold them (I guess ). Well, hopefully this kind of social media site could be available worldwide because actually when I turned 19, I just realized it was useless to surf the net just for Facebook and other social media sites. You won't earn anything from them tho. Quote
