Who still remembers the iconic Windows browser Internet Explorer, It has come a long way since it's first release in 1995 along with Windows 95.  Does anyone still using it? I mean they still have a version 11 for Windows 7 and 10.

I remember it. It used to be the browser to use. How things change!I now use Google chrome. I however have Internet explorer as my secondary browser. I use it for some of my websites like Pocket or Pinterest. It's actually quite fast. I recently upgraded to the latest version. It looks amazing and has new features like voice recognition. Ordinarily it would give Chrome a run for its money, but for some reason, it's not making any traction in the market. I think once people get comfortable with what they are using, it's a wrap for other service providers.

I still remember how fast (well, I guess for those years' standard) Internet Explorer was, however everything's different now. Though I still have Internet Explorer browser for my Windows 8 Laptop because of it being a built-in software, I don't use it anymore. I'm an avid user of Google Chrome now and I guess I won't be able to use Internet Explorer again because I actually used Edge (it's updated version in Win 10) and it's pretty much slower compared to Chrome, still, and that's disappointing.

I haven't used it since Win95, i remember using it with a modem with a 256kb speed lol... the ones with a squicking sound every time its connecting! Well those where the days... When Firefox was introduced, internet explorer was just an option for me . I haven't used it even when some software's used it as a primary connecting browser. I haven't seen the upgraded version of internet explorer, and still not planning to use it specially when all my emails and social media accounts are sync with google chrome.

I couldn't remember when was the first time I'd used it maybe around 2002 or 2003 when I had my first desktop computer. But when Google Chrome emerged and starting getting popular and have lots of positive feedback I changed my default browser into Google Chrome. Though I still use Internet Explorer when I have to reformat my laptop because I needed to download Google Chrome then after that I'm going to change again my default browser into Google.

It used to be the default browser back in the day but with the emergence of so many faster and more entertaining browsers it has become forgotten like an old religion.

As change is the only constant thing, people have moved on and embraced newer and better things.

It hasn't been missed and lots of younger people don't even know about it except when their devices bring it up as an option.

Firefox, Chrome etc will suffice  for now.

Sure don't and won't in the future unless something changes with Google Chrome that turns me away.  It's slow, buggy and doesn't follow standards.

Oh I still remember that! Internet explorer, a browser I use before to be able to log in to Friendster. Then switched to Firefox and eventually to Google Chrome.

It's my first browser way back Windows 98 days. On a side note, I read an article that Microsoft is launching a new browser similar to Chrome, and if I'm not mistaken, it will be chromium-based or something like that. I can't quite remember. The question is, what happens to Edge now?

I seriously doubt if I would ever forget about internet explorer because it's my first ever browser when I was still making use of public Cyber Cafe.

I used internet explorer before I started making use of Mozilla Firefox.

I get to used Internet Explorer as it's the only known browser before. I didn't have any negative comments about the browser since I'm not that meticulous during that time. I only want to use it and connect to internet. I've been exploring a lot thru that browser. Thou, I still have it installed in my laptop but I'm no longer using it. I couldn't remember how I came up using Mozilla Firefox Browser and Google Chrome.  This browser are much better than Internet Explorer. It's fast and reliable.

I still remeber the internet explorer, how can i forget it when my friend still have it in her PC. I don't know why she still using it ubtill now that tring a google or mozilla maybe she used to use it up to now, and for me I don't have any problem using it even before so I Am not against using it.

LOL I still have it on my computer. Though I prefer using Chrome. Internet Explorer is just there, waiting to be used. I accidentally click it sometimes when I'm in a hurry to open my browser. I think I used it until around 2007? I didn't bother trying other browsers. I think back then the other browsers are Firefox and Opera? I'm not sure.

I do not use it because it is so slow. Loading pages sometimes takes literally forever! It is also full of bugs and can not open every page which pops up when I search for something! I tried Microsoft Edge when I had Windows 10, which is basically the updated version of Internet Explorer and it was really fine. It was not slow like Internet Explorer but I still could not use it. Chrome and Opera are more reliable and better.

I still use Internet explorer in my daily work. I use them to make sure the XML files are as per required format or not. It throws an error if the file is incorrect or the tags are not closed or if there is a mismatch with the line no and column no so it is a very handy browser for testing purposes.

I ised it recently. It still can function on our computers. The only difference is that the others have become more sophisticated and more demanded

I've used Internet Explorer for a total of three times in my lifetime. First, when I explored the depths of my new computer. Second, when I used it to install Google Chrome. Third, when I accidentally clicked it by accident. Pretty sad, but its an unfortunate truth that Internet Explorer is an inferior web browser. I don't know about Edge, though...

Yes, Internet Explorer  was the first and famous browser. I also remember it using in cafe. It was fast and reliable in terms of connectivity. I had fun using explorer browser. I still have it installed on laptop but don't used it anymore. It's slow and failed to connect. I just don't know why the developer is not updating to compete it's competitor. They never protect their reputation.

I remembered using internet explorer before it was not working anymore.  Internet Explorer (IE), World Wide Web (WWW) browser and set of technologies created by Microsoft Corporation, a leading American computer software company. After being launched in 1995, Internet Explorer became one of the most popular tools for accessing the Internet. There were 11 versions between 1995 and 2013.

I tried using internet explorer before. Internet Explorer[a] (formerly Microsoft Internet Explorer and Windows Internet Explorer,[c] commonly referred to as Explorer and abbreviated IE or MSIE) is a series of graphical web browsers developed by Microsoft and included in the Microsoft Windows line of operating systems, starting in 1995. It was first released as part of the add-on package Plus! for Windows 95 that year. Later versions were available as free downloads, or in service packs, and included in the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) service releases of Windows 95 and later versions of Windows. The browser is discontinued, but still maintained.[2]

Seriously, it's a shame that some developers would just purposely condemn their own work without making all necessary effort to keep it going in the market.

Can you imagine how good the browser would have been if it's still in use today? They would be making millions of dollars.

I agree with you. It seems they lose their enthusiasms on their works.  They feared that nobody will ever patronize them since there are bigger competitor in the market. In some point, perhaps programmers/developers also are offered higher fees to work in other company. Skilled workers have better opportunity. They grab it while it's still hot.

I remember the first version of Internet explorer when I was a kid. Haven't used it as a browser in years though, since I use Ubuntu on my laptop. Chrome/Firefox/Opera have worked well for me.

I have not used internet explorer in a very long time. I generally use Google Chrome for the internet. If I want to see the news, I open up Microsoft edge because there is a whole bunch of news immediately when you open the application. Internet explorer is not even on my dashboard, so I completely forgot about it's existence.
