Kakashi2020 Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 Windows XP was my most favorite Windows operating system, it was release in 2001 and is still being used today, unsupported that is, since Microsoft stopped it's technical support in 2014. But it still remains my most favorite Operating System. What's your most favorite Windows OS Version? Quote
jaybee Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 My most favorite is the Windows 8 OS. It was released in 2012 and I can still remember how fascinated I was with it when I first saw it in our boss' laptop which was the Sony VAIO. A lot of people, especially during its release, did not really love Windows 8 and they complained about how it was a little bit complicated compared to its predecessors. However, for me it was the most interesting OS that the Microsoft Windows had released even until today. It might be a little complicated because the start button is no longer available and you have to point the cursor to the right to see the search bar and the other functionalities, but for me it made the entire experience more fun and exciting because I get to learn it slowly and I had to really practice which I didn't do with the previous versions of Windows OS. Windows 8 is also very colorful and I like how they showed more importance to the windows key which from my own experience, i did not really used it that much on the other versions. Quote
aecel Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 Windows 7 is my favorite because I've been using this for quite a long time. I like the simplicity of the design and direct using of OS I don't like complicated things that not needed to my laptop that's why it's still my favorite. I hope I can still use it in the future but I know it would retire and obsolete and OS will be updated again with another version. Quote
EfficientNinja Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 I love both Windows XP and 7 equally. They will always have a special place in my heart forever. <3 Those were the Operating Systems where I learned how to tweak various OS settings. I read tweak guides and explored the registry to change the operating systems to my liking. I learned how to troubleshoot and repair computer issues because of this. Quote
Martinsx Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 I used be very addicted to Windows 7 and 8, but one thing with me is that I always move with the trend as it goes. So therefore, currently I'm making use of Windows 10 and I'm very much enjoying it. Some people don't fancy windows 10 but no I'm not among such people because I'm absolutely in love with the operating system and all it brings to the table. Quote
fishbate Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 I'll go for WIN7 because i think it's the most stable WINOS . I had tried most of WINOS and WIN7 is i'm the most comfortable with. The features and User Interface is so user friendly for me. Also the system is versatile and upgrade able that it can be compatible with devices and apps that are most used on higher version OS. Administrators Nathan Posted April 23, 2018 Administrators Posted April 23, 2018 There are my favorite in order based on release. Windows 10 Windows 7 Windows XP Windows 95 Martinsx 1 Quote

It's actually why I'm sticking with the new Windows 10 because it's the best in stock to me at the moment. Quote
Administrators Nathan Posted April 25, 2018 Administrators Posted April 25, 2018 Yeah agreed. I've noticed I've skipped every other one though, seem like good release, then crappy then good again. Windows 95 ->Windows 98/2000 Windows XP -> Windows Vista Windows 7 -> Windows 8 With this pattern whatever comes after 10 could be bad Quote
hoppip93 Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 Windows 10 is my favorite, but this may just be the recency bias speaking. I loved both Windows 7 and XP equally, and I can't remember enough (I was still quite young then) to remember how they compare to Windows 10 right now in terms of quality (for their time). Quote
NerdIndeed Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 Hands-down Windows XP - It can run I believe having only 512MB of RAM or less. It's also fast, and customizations for it are endless. I currently use Windows 10 Pro, and I like it so far, although I'm not a big fan of the Microsoft store. I feel apps similar to what smartphones have on PCs are not necessary. Quote

Some people have complained about how it drains their system battery but I'm not having the issue at the moment. So, I'm all good with windows 10. Quote
NerdIndeed Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 I cannot say anything about the battery drain as I use my laptop plugged in all the time. And that factor also depends on the manufacturer of the battery. You can compare by running different operating systems on the same device and then find out. Quote
Kaushik Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 Windows XP ruled most of the PCs for a long time and it was loved by all. Windows 7 was good too but then Windows 8 and 10 have not yet been stable. There are many issues in both the Operating System versions and patches are being applied all the time and pushed to us in the form of updates. Quote
Jelineex Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 I have not upgraded to any Windows Operating System. I still used windows 7 up to these days. It still have the best performance. I love the convenience and it's easy to use. I don't find any problem with this OS from beginning I used it. I like it because it's user friendly. I am hesitant to install another Operating system because there are many feedback about windows 10. Plus, it's a bit expensive to purchase. Quote
focusedwriter10 Posted December 7, 2018 Posted December 7, 2018 Windows 7 is my favorite Windows OS because it is extremely stable. I have tried windows 8 and 10, but I hate the regular updates. Quote
NikSuks Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 Windows 7. I can name a dozen things, but I will name just a few: -It is the most stable one, it never crashed or gave me blue screen of death like Windows 10 did when I installed it. -Big number of games on the market are better optimized for Windows 7 systems. -The UI is more simple and more beautiful. -The Skype app works better. It is not that Windows 10 is not good. But I do not like something about it. I mean, a huge number of unnecessary programs running in the background ruined the Windows 10 experience for me. Also, system is constantly updated and I even read something about Microsoft stealing you information. Windows 7, forever! Quote
