EfficientNinja Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 Hello everyone! Can you recommend your favorite desktop Linux distro? I want to try something new. I am a Windows guy and would like to transition to a Linux based desktop OS. Are there any good ones that are easy for people that are transitioning from Windows? Thanks! Quote
dullian Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 Ubuntu. That's the most popular one, I believe. Personally, I mostly use distros related to networking. I also like lightweight distros since they are more appropriate for several old computers I have and that don't support well newer operating systems. Quote
foxprojects Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 I've been using Ubuntu for several years and never had any problems with it. It's one of the easiest distros of Linux to get started with if you've used Windows. Very simple to set up and download the software you need, such as web browsers, productivity suites, etc. Quote

I am also a beginner but quickly got used to Ubuntu. Quote
