With the release of Windows 8.1 and now Windows 10, users are introduced to the long awaited virtual assistant named Cortana, it has a variety of uses that make searching easier and it has it's own personality that makes it a bit fun to use also I like the cross platform which as a stand alone app you can use Cortana in Android and Apple devices.

Are you using Cortana?

I have it disabled on my computer. I tried it out for a while when I just installed Windows 10. After that, I see no need of it in my daily computer usage. I found out that I can accomplish these tasks faster without using Cortana.

Actually Im not really using Cortana, I mean it's good as a novelty on a pc or laptop but I really think it's more applicable for tablets, phablets and smartphones.  It's not really useable for PC's though.

I rarely use Cortana on my PC. I feel that it's faster to type a Google Search or launch an application using a mouse. From time to time though, I use Cortana to display the weather and search for definitions of words that I do not know. The article that I found below shows other uses of Cortana:

Personally, I don't feel the need to use Cortana on a laptop because it's much faster if you do the typing yourself than rely on the accuracy of Cortana. Handheld devices, however, can benefit from the use of these virtual assistants, such as Alexa, Siri, or Google.

I have no experience using Cortana. I don't need to use it. I am still capable of doing manual task on my own. I get dizzy with so many application to use. It will distract my attention and lost my interest to work.  It is only Siri that I've known  and used in mobile.

Cortana was annoying enough to disable in my laptop running Windows 8.1 at the time. Actually, when I first got the laptop, the first thing I googled was how to uninstall Cortana. Mind you, I always uninstall bloatware first. For Cortana to go first is a testament to how useless and annoying it was.
