Jessi
For me, I find it better to focus on just one or two networks (like Facebook and Twitter). I build up my communities, get to know people, tweet or facebook post regularly, etc, and it seems like that helps drive a lot of traffic to my sits. On the flip side, I've tried to use several networks at once before, sending my content to 5-10 sites, not giving any of them my full attention, and not only did I feel exhausted by it, but I don't think it increased my traffic much either. So what works for you? Focusing on just one or two main networks or spreading yourself thin across several of them and hoping for the best? DarkGizmo
I just focus on Facebook and Twitter myself. I feel those are the two biggest. Google Plus isn't there yet so it doesn't really pay to post stuff on there when you onlyhave a small handful of followers where as FB and Twitter you have a lot more to gain by posting stuff to those networks. So for me, I'm like you, I only post to Facebook and Twitter when it comes to helping my site grow.
W00t
Facebook and Twitter are the way to go, they have the most users.
crumblepie
I think we all agree on the Twitter and Facebook combination. And there are always handy apps that let you copy content from one and post it to the other, so you could really just keep up with one and it will do the trick. Creaky
Facebook & Twitter seem to be the bigges two, I would concentrate on them and then work on the others if needed.

ukfan41
Facebook and Twitter are the only two now, with google + slowly rising. There are others trying to come up though. I would just focus on those two.
fakesky
I agree with the Twitter + Facebook combination, these are the biggest and will last for a while, or who knows how much.
chiller
Facebook and Twitter have become way too crowded. In my opinion, focusing on other social networks can be a good idea. Just take a look at this list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_social_networking_websites Lots of possibilities to get traffic from those less popular social networks. Jessi
I just focus on Facebook and Twitter myself. I feel those are the two biggest. Google Plus isn't there yet so it doesn't really pay to post stuff on there (...) Do you think G+ will end up getting "there," and is it worth building up now? Or do you think it's going to fade away like other social network site attempts do? I'm really torn but it looks like the initial hype is over and some are still using it. Administrators Nathan Posted March 2, 2012 Administrators Share Posted March 2, 2012 Hard to say. At first I thought it had some traction but not anymore. Everyone went there and created a profile then never went back.
