I think that this kind of questions is a very controversial one as many people are arguing on whether if we have some good degree in school is that it is already an assurance that we will be financially stable in the future. I think it really depend on us since we really have different perception on certain things in life.

Do you really agree that having a good school can make us financially stable in the future? What are your thoughts about it?

I think yes. Having a degree is an advantage against others, but it's not mandatory. I know a lot of people who don't have degrees but has a ton of skills on his arsenal. In this life, there are no guarantees. Three things are essential to be successful - mindset, perseverance, and hard work.

It depends on a person because having a good degree it's not a way to have a financially stable life you need to study and study more to be a person that good for that job because some of the people have a degree, but they didn't have a job, why it's because they don't study well or they not qualified for that job if you want to have a financially stable life you need to study more and know more.

Yes I do agree that having a good degree, or any degree in that matter, is beneficial and advantageous. Not only will there be a wider selection of jobs available from someone who has finished his studies, but better job positions as well. It gives a person the chance to have a career path since promotions are of course readily available for anyone who has finished their course.

I agree with some friends here that having a good degree will be of great advantage to land a good job. However, it is not a guarantee since it always requires hard work and determination to succeed. It is always best to take advantage of what we know and apply it in the real world.

Having a degree is a huge advantage in a third world country. There are just more opportunities in the first world countries and in those countries, having a degree isn't all that important. But that is not to say that people who can't afford an education can't get a decent job. I'm just saying it's harder in some places than others and having a degree won't hurt.

I believe that having  a good degree is very beneficial as we can easily find a high paying job that can give us a good living in the future. Many people who have a good studies really have a more chances of becoming financially stable compare to those that do not have some studies in school. I think it is really good if we can finish our studies so that we can easily achieve our goals in life.

People with bachelor's degrees earn more cash than people who do not have degrees, according to the statistics. It depends also on what your true aspirations are, and on the nature of the field you want to work in.It might be a good idea before applying for a certain university to do researches to see which high paying jobs are in demand, then you can choose the career that fits you better.

Competition are tight for job finders whether you have a degree or not. Many college graduate and degree holders are still unemployed at this point. If those who holds a degree find it hard to get a decent job, it's much harder for those who doesn't have the degree. It is a big edge for someone who have a degree to get the job that he wants.

You know, I think it really depends on the degree. I've got a lot of friends who have studied at university and snagged great jobs, and an equal amount of friends who studied at university and struggled to find stable, long term employment in their field of study.

I imagine a lot of it also depends on the country you live in and the demand for those industries there.

Havimg a good degree is a plus in terms of competitions to get a job to those individual who don't have a degree but having a degree is not a basis to be financially stable because it is always depends on you as an individual, having a degree is not enough to have stable financial it should have a willingness and effort.

It certainly helps, but it's not a given that you'll easily find a job. It's about how you move in the real world and seize the opportunities. Luckily, in the freelancing world, the academical background is not as relevant since more emphasis is placed on your work regardless of your experience. That's what I've heard, at least.

Well for the record, a degree in general helps uplift most people from poverty. Getting a degree would mean being able to get a decent job in a company. In some cases, it depends on how you take matters into your own hand. There are individuals who made it big without diploma while others who had the degree are still on the run for success.

Need more convincing of the monetary benefits of a college degree? Check this out. The Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce found that individuals who only finish high school could look forward to earning about $1.3 million over their lifetime, some college increases that lifetime earning potential to about $1.6 million.

Moving forward in education attainment, an associate degree holder may earn around $1.7 million and a bachelor’s degree holder, about $2.3 million. Those with advanced degrees, including master’s, doctoral, and professional degrees may earn $2.7 million, $3.3 million and $3.6 million, respectively. So, is four years of college education (at a cost of about $50,000) worth earning an extra $1 million dollars over the course of a lifetime? We think so.

While this data is accurate, there is a caveat and that is that there are variances in salary as determined by an individual’s chosen career field. For example, a bachelor’s degree holder that works in management or engineering can sometimes earn more than someone with a master’s degree who works in education or social work. Work experience also can impact annual salary and lifetime earnings.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), if you're a college graduate, you'll earn substantially more on average per week than if you ended your academic training after high school. In 2014, the BLS reported that workers with bachelor's degrees earned a median weekly salary of $1,101, while high school graduates with no college earned $668. The BLS also noted that high school graduates who took some college courses earned a median weekly salary of $741, even if they didn't finish their degree program (www.bls.gov).

I think a good degree can go a long way, but it depends on what the degree is. Going to a 4 year college and getting a degree can help boost your chances of getting a job in that field. Not only that, but it can help you get a higher paying job because of the fact that you have that degree.

The only thing about having a degree is that you should have some experience with it. Many companies prefer experience over your degree or level of academic accomplishments. While a degree can help you, having experience along with the degree can be a big booster in terms of finding jobs and being financially stable.

There are many benefits in obtaining a college degree. One is you will earn more money. A college graduate earns more than a non-graduate.  Plain and simple.  Studies have shown that there is an average of $25,000 earnings difference between grads and non-grads.  Furthermore, this gap is widening every year.  The bottom line is that pursuing a degree increases the ability to find work in the same field, increasing experience and earning potential.

Even in the face of rising student loan delinquency rates, increasing tuition costs and still-tough employment prospects for recent college graduates, the benefits of a degree outweigh the cost, according to a New York Federal Reserve study released. The earnings of a college degree – bachelor’s or associate – have fluctuated over time but have had average returns of about 15 percent over the past 10 years, the report showed. This is in large part because wages for those without a college degree have steadily declined, which boosts the college wage premium while worsening the prospects of the less educated, according to the report.

I have a college degree and I’d say I couldn’t have a better career if I didn’t have one. But I am not saying that you can only succeed in your career if you have a college diploma. My take on success in life is all about luck. It’s like being in the right place and the right time. I know of some people who have a masters degree and even a doctorate but they did not get rich. There are so many doctors like physicians who live a moderate life without luxuries. Who has the money? Those who got lucky in business.
