Upgrading my laptop to Windows 10

Recommended Posts

Our office is upgrading all computers to Windows 10. My official laptop is presently running on Windows 7 and I am quite content but I couldn’t go against the policy of upgrade. However the tech in our department said that I will be given a  new laptop because my present laptop has license only for Windows 7. What I understand is that they cannot install Windows 7 on my laptop because of the license. That got me confused so I am posting this here before I talk to the tech again. What if the hard disk is broken then the new hard disk is empty and therefore installing a new OS is simple,

I think it's better to last name hahahahh because I love my last name, also I don't want to call in my first name in school because I'm compatible with it or maybe I suggest asking your students what they want to call on their last name, middle name or first name thanks.

My laptop run Windows 7 before. I don't know what came over me and I updated to Win10. It was probably the "FREE UPGRADE" they offered before so I upgraded it via their site. The tech can't upgrade via site? I don't know much about updating because I only took the offer when they offered free lol! I was so used to Win7 that switching to Win10 was hard. I still don't like it but I can tolerate it more now.

As long as it meets the minimum system requirements of Windows 10, your laptop can run it. It has nothing to do with the license. Even if you don't have the money to fork out money for the license key of Windows 10, you can still install it. The only drawback is that you can't change the background picture and that there's a watermark on the bottom right reminding you to activate the license key. I know people who to this day hasn't activated their copy of Windows 10 and it still runs fine.
