Facebook is my preferred social network as well but I have also started using Google+ since last 2-3 months. Google+ is very similar to Facebook and a lot of experts predict that its going to be big in future. Right now my Google+ account doesn't show that much activity but I hope that'll change as more and more people start using it.

Recently I have also become member of Pinterest which is another great social platform.

I have used facebook for a very long time, but I have grown accustomed to twitter. Twitter is easier to stay up to date on things and see what is going on with all your friends.

I dislike social networks, not using permanently any, but recently I started to spend some time on Pinterest too, it's not just the nice and clean design, you can find there so many new ideas and stuff, it's not just about the pictures..it's something more.

One a personal level, I don't like social networking sites either. But or business purposes they can't be beat. LinkedIn is my preferred social site. I do have my eye on Google+ and I'm hearing more and more about Pinterest.

Definitely Facebook. Facebook has a lot of use and everyone is using it. It has games and other fun and interesting apps. I personally think it's the best way to communicate to other and different people from your country or around the globe.

Mine is facebook because most of my friends use facebook and it is the best way for me to keep in touch with them. I also have twitter which I hardly use now a days.

I'm not really a fan of all the social networking sites but my wife made me create a facebook account.

I can't stand the idea of twitter. Nobody cares that I'm tying my shoes or that I'm running low on eggs.

You're right. Nobody cares about those things and that's exactly why you wouldn't be one of -those- Twitter users. It gets mocked a lot, but the majority of Twitter doesn't actually tweet things like that. It can be very useful if you actually give it a shot and exchange -useful- information.

I just don't have useful information to share. :(

I'm not saying twitter is completely useless. One of the main uses is fan pages for famous people. In that regard, twitter is probably better than facebook. But I'm just a simple man with a boring life. :)

Id like to say Pinterest is my preferred network these days. :) I'm an image intensive person, so i'm always posting images to give people visuals. This works great with pinterest because you can post the images and they will link to your page! :( So many people follow images on pinterest and it's shared and viewed by tons. I'm suprised more aren't saying this.

Twitter is full of bots and people are more about them, they want followers. It's never really about the post. Just my .02

I'm not surprised that Facebook leads the voting so far because most people use it to connect to friends and family as well as Brands. I'd like to see results for "Your preferred social network FOR..." and insert any number of things such for marketing your business, for news, for customer contact, etc.

Of the two networks Facebook and Twitter. Facebook is more intutive for me. Although recently i have given twitter a second chance. One thing that it does more effectively than Facebook is permit users to place their fingers on the pulse of the new community. When i started giving twitter a try it took me a while to figure it out. The more followers you have the more effctive your tweets. If you have a few followers, those are the only people that will see your tweets. If you're fortunate enough to have more than 200,000 followers than your tweets get out to those people.

Also both social networks are extremely valuable marketing tools if you have an online and offline buisness. You can't beat free advertising. There's no sense, especially if your an entrepreneur, in fighting the humongous machines that facebook and twitter have become. Both can do wonders for your buisness and there is no associated cost.

I am more of a Twitter user now than i am on Facebook. With all the updates to Facebook it's so hard to keep and i have noticed that less and less of my friends are posting on their as well. The simplicity of twitter is what captivated the world, and you also get more of a "close feeling" to whomever you follow. I can honesty say that without twitter, i would not have an extensive connection with the list that i have now.

(Sorry, just now saw this response.)

Simple man or not....boring life or not.... That's why you share news or topics from your websites, for example. If you're using it in connection to Domain Focus, for example, then you may end up in circles of followers who also have websites and you can share things that are happening in internet world. Or you may find that you don't have much to share yourself, but you could comment on what others are sharing and find yourself with a nice network to use later.

It’s true that facebook rocking social network site after twitter going well. Everyone known that Facebook has a lot of use and everybody. I individually think it's the top way to converse to other and different people beginning your country or around the world.

I stay on Facebook because my friends and family are on it, but I actually prefer Google+ because well it's "different" in the aspect that you use different methods to talk to people and of course the Hangouts on there.

As a normal person I prefer using Facebook but as an internet marketer I use a lot from Twitter to Myspace or any other social networking sites that would allow me to advertise my products or whatever I would want to advertise. Although Facebook is one of my favorite when it comes to advertising because billions of people log in everyday and everyone and I mean everyone even old people use Facebook, so yeah Facebook it is.

Since Facebook is the most widely-used social networking site in my country, I choose Facebook. Almost everybody in my country has a Facebook account and if you don't have one, it's like you're weird. Besides, I also use Facebook for my business.

I actually prefer Twitter over Facebook.  Twitter seems so much easier to use than Facebook.  I mean, a post of 140 characters is much easier to create, and there aren't as many options for what to do with it before posting.  Also, I think Facebook is more congested with apps and other functions, making it difficult to keep straight.

I have always liked Facebook since it like a platform for connecting and reconnecting of old and new friends especially our loved ones and long lost friends. Facebook is just a platform to share love.

I prefer Twitter because it's focused more on everyone's thoughts compared to Instagram/Facebook which are focused on visuals, what you look like or physical appearance. And I don't have anything to contribute on those platforms so I stick with Twitter, I'm happy with it & I'm always on Twitter.

After Friendster.com changed and faced out. Facebook's been the only social media I used. I may not be that active on posting statuses or anything but i know what are the capabilities of facebook. And most of my friends are more active on facebook. One factor that I don't even try creating accounts on other social media platforms is because I'm too lazy to create an account.
