Hedonologist Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 I have had poor experiences with having non organic twitter followers. The traffic increase was poor at best. However I am now working on aquiring organic twitter followers. Does anyone have experiencing with marketing via organic twitter followers. If so, were the benefits worth the time investment into getting those followers? Quote
Administrators Nathan Posted February 23, 2012 Administrators Posted February 23, 2012 What do you mean exactly? Are you asking if there is a service out there to add Twitter followers that is legit? Quote
Shole Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 If you got organic twitter followers you probably will get more traffic if you have the followers interested in your tweets. I mean if you post like tweets : Join my site. link No one will be visiting your site probably Quote
fakesky Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Man, your followers not only have to be organic, it's crucial to have them targeted , if a justin bieber fan follows you, a SEO site promoter, she will have no clue what you're tweeting about, bought followers don't add too much value, but when they are highly targeted, by region, age, sex, interests, you are most likely to succed. Cheers! Quote
bryce12 Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 I agree with fakesky. You need to get targeted followers to drive traffic to your site. A lot of people think that they can drive thousands of visitors to their site just by getting thousands of followers on Twitter but Twitter marketing doesn't work like that. Get targeted followers, post useful content and people will visit your site. Quote
SpikeTheLobster Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 As mentioned above... what do your organic followers expect from you? If they're following you because they're interested in the thing you're marketing, then hell yes, they'll be useful! I've only ever picked up organic followers. Around 400 or so, I think. I'd never marketed to them until I published my book but since then, they've pumped people to my blog and forum, bought a couple of copies of the book and generally been supportive. Since most of them are freelance writers (like me), we've also exchanged job opportunities in the past - I've passed on a couple of gigs I didn't want or couldn't do and have had a client or two referred to me from Twitter friends. So yes, in my opinion, definitely worth it - assuming they're following you because of what you do, not because your Twitter name is NakedPenthouseModel or something. Quote
