Administrators Nathan Posted February 23, 2012 Administrators Share Posted February 23, 2012 1. Well for being on IP.Board the biggest is using IP.SEO to increase your search engine visibility. 2. By posting on other forums answering questions then linking back to my sites.

Administrators Nathan Posted February 23, 2012 Administrators Share Posted February 23, 2012 I never understood promotion sites. Everyone on there is trying to promote their site. Can you really get any lasting members from it?

bryce12
Well I use forum marketing to drive traffic to my sites. I join top forums in my niche and include a link to my site through my profile signature. I make sure that I participate in the discussions and post useful content. Over a period of time, this improves my site's visibility and helps in getting more traffic to my site.
LewatN
post my article to an article directory with a very well written authors resource box .This is the box at the end of the article that tells a little bit about me and my site, and gives links to my website where the reader can find more interesting stuff about the subject. But then your content is duplicated, on your site and on the article directory. SERPS don't like that....
SpikeTheLobster
Short term: forum signature links, profile links, Twitter (with organic following and some buddies to retweet), word of mouth. Long term: high-quality useful content, backlinks from nice sites, word of mouth. I don't bother with SEO, so my results may be skewed. Jessi
I never understood promotion sites. Everyone on there is trying to promote their site. Can you really get any lasting members from it? Not really. You'll get the few here or there, but they're really only good for short term results. The traffic can potentially push you higher in search results, though, or make your site appear more active and entice others to join because of that. LewatN
But then your content is duplicated, on your site and on the article directory. SERPS don't like that.... duplicated is one of the risk of the internet, it can be handled by using aged domain and baclinks to "fight" on SERP
SpikeTheLobster
duplicated is one of the risk of the internet, it can be handled by using aged domain and baclinks to "fight" on SERP They meant self-duplication, not duplication by another person. chiller
Youtube is also a great source of free traffic. If your videos are appealing, your traffic can grow pretty quickly.
digitalink01
I'm really haiving a hard time getting organic traffic. More often than not, it's really just a hit-or-miss scenario for me. I've tried posting on forums, using social media, and bulding backlnks to it by writing articles on online publishing platforms, but the traffic flow is really inconsistent. Plus, I've been caught up on some other stuff I needed to do so I really wasn't able to give it my full attention. Needless to say my websites died a natural death. The domain expired and I wasn't really sure if I wanted to renew given the state the websites are in. However, I'm here to remdedy that by learning all that I can about proper website develoment and maintenance and maybe, just maybe, I'll be encoraged to build a few more. visionrafael84
I feel the best way to increase traffic the correct way is to have great content. Then like a I always say, plant the seed and watch it grow. I see it too often too much increase in traffic to soon, leads to tons of failure. I do some fivver and forum posting as well, but I mostly concentrate on my content mostly.
