Administrators Nathan Posted February 15, 2012 Administrators Posted February 15, 2012 Looks like in the next release of Photoshop (CS6) you can magically move around any object In your photos. I'm anxious to give this a try. From the video you can see the new clone-stamp like content-ware fill, which allows you to define a part of the image as a source to easily erase anything from an image. This should be a huge timesaver, but what is even more amazing is using the same technology to move any object around the image. You can skip to the 1:00 mark to see how it works. In CS5 this could have taken hours to accomplish, in the new version, a matter of seconds. http://youtu.be/UrlsnQ32YhY This post has been promoted to an article This post has been promoted to an article Quote
Administrators Tony Posted February 15, 2012 Administrators Posted February 15, 2012 Well it looks freakin awesome.. I hope it really works like that Quote
chiller Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 When will this feature be implemented in The Gimp?? Quote
Administrators Tony Posted February 16, 2012 Administrators Posted February 16, 2012 When will this feature be implemented in The Gimp?? LOL - I have tried several times to use GIMP... I just can't do it. My photo editing program of choice is Fireworks.. I know that I should probably learn to use Photoshop, but I'm just not really that motivated... Quote
Gabe Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Feature rich. Great enhancement to a great SW. Quote
DarkGizmo Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Wow that looks great! I'm currently using a student edition of CS5 web premium and I'm really considering of upgrading to CS6 web premium! That is just amazing. Photoshop never ceases to impress and amaze me. It truly does get better with every new version. Definitely looking into CS6 more after seeing that. It'd make my graphic designing so much easier with that.....as you said, it normally takes hours to accomplish that..... Quote
Administrators Nathan Posted February 17, 2012 Author Administrators Posted February 17, 2012 Yeah, I'm on CS5 as well. Like Tony I still haven't made the jump to Photoshop. I'm stuck on Fireworks as I used that first back when Adobe and Macromedia were 2 separate companies. Quote
DarkGizmo Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 I took a few photoshop courses a few semesters back so it's really not all that hard for me to get the hang of photoshop to be honest. I caught on pretty quickly and can do a few things with it I would recommend reading some tutorials online though or take a college course on it. Quote
cvarr Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 I am definitely excited for this feature. I tend to favor photoshop being a photographer but it will also really help when i finish my degree in graphic design hopefully it will be out by then . Quote
Talk Tech News Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Wow, this looks great. I use Photoshop a lot and it always amazes me what new features Adobe comes out with. Quote
RainOK Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 I love photoshop. Always used it since the older versions like 2. But I cant wait till Photoshop 6 comes out. Im still using 5.1 and it still works wonders. Hope the differences is negligible! Quote
Talk Tech News Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 There is never any need to immediately upgrade, I don't. The older versions of photoshop are powerful enough for most people. Quote
wonderzz Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 That looks like a really good feature! I've still been using CS3 though :/ Quote
Administrators Nathan Posted February 20, 2012 Author Administrators Posted February 20, 2012 That looks like a really good feature! I've still been using CS3 though :/ Hey it works, and is a lot less of a hog if you don't have a fast computer. Quote
W00t Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 This feature should have been added a while ago, as this is prooobably the most frequently done edit. Quote
Talk Tech News Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 I would love to see what the team do when creating a new version of Photoshop, such as how they come up with new ideas. I know that they interview professional photographers. Quote
Pete T Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 really need update my photoshop i have cs3 getting little outdate now lol. Quote
fakesky Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 haha, I am using photoshop cs3 for a long time, it kinda get more complicated with every edition, but I am definetely gonna move to cs6 when it comes out, amazing stuff, just hoping that there will be lynda tutorials for this one too Quote
Shole Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 This is really like magic I will get this when it gets out and I am going to try to move objects around . It will profit so much with my logo making and banner making It should be awesome ! Quote
godarm Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 But it's never as simple as they make it seem. They always demo images that match the specs of the tool perfectly. For instance, the ground is an organic texture that doesn't have a particular direct or pattern. If it had a pattern or grain, this would be much harder to match. If it had more colors, this wouldn't work at all. The image with the scope at the beach conveniently covers the seam in the middle of the two colors, and is a distinct color from every other part of the image. Quote
Talk Tech News Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 A valid point and something that is employed by many industries. It always looks so simple in the demo videos. Quote
visionrafael84 Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 At first when I saw content aware on a youtube video I thought it was fake. hahaha This is amazing its almost like magic. This would of taken me a long time to do with my old Photoshop. I think its time I upgrade thanks for the video. Quote
DevilKid Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Wow. That looks great. A great tool for photographers and designers (espicially the extend tool). Even though I am not much of a graphics person, it is a great tool and would like to use it. Quote
dagscot Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 I try to get excited by these new features in every iteration of photoshop but usually find myself a bit underwhelmed. I've tried the new content aware move and rarely gotten the same result without the use of at least one other tool to clean up. Quote
ridwan sameer Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Woah that looks amazingI need to get my hands on CS6 Quote
